Initial consultation :: $130.00 (approximately 60 to 90 minutes)
Follow up lactation consultations :: $80 (approximately 60 minutes.)
LACTATION CONSULTATIONS BILLING & INSURANCE:
REIMBURSEMENT FROM INSURANCE
Unfortunately, private practice lactation consultants are unable to bill insurance directly. After our consultation I will provide you with a receipt called a “super bill” that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement. The super bill has insurance codes that should help with reimbursement. Although many insurance companies do cover Lactation Consultations there is no guarantee that services will be covered. Many patients are able to receive partial to full reimbursement, however the time frame for reimbursement varies by company.
PAYMENT
Payment for services rendered are due at the time of service. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Payment for services may also be purchased in advance as a gift to a new family.
THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR LACTATION CARE
The Affordable Care Act of 2012 requires that “Comprehensive lactation support and counseling, by a trained provider during pregnancy and/or in the postpartum period, and costs for renting breastfeeding equipment” are covered at no cost to you. Unfortunately, some carriers are not doing this. They are required to reimburse for your visit with an IBCLC.
Each month you pay your healthcare premiums and this should provide fully covered lactation care. Unfortunately, not all providers are doing this due to a gap in the system. CPR & FIRST-AID TRAINING
SAVING LIVES THROUGH HANDS-ON EDUCATION
Nurture Family Services offers the most convenient and cost effective courses in CPR & First Aid in Oregon and Washington.
Our courses are structured for extensive hands on practice to ensure optimum learning. Courses are designed to meet your needs and group discounts are offered. Upon completion of a course students will receive a certification card good for two years through the American Heart Association.
All training is done in the setting of your choice utilizing a variety of video, lecture and hands on practice. This allows students to ask questions and perfect the methods used in each course.

Answer: Yes, a replacement card will cost $2.00

Answer: The amount of time required to complete a class depends on the number of students in the class and the courses being taken. To discuss the amount of time needed for your group please contact us directly.
Question: Why should I get certified through an American Heart Association instead of the American Red Cross?
Answer: Certification through the American Heart association provides you with a card good for two years as opposed to the one year certification you receive thorough the Red Cross. In today’s Economy we feel it is important for businesses and individuals to get more for their money. Our two year certification cost the same or less than a one year certification.

$20 per person or $25 for a couple (minimum of 8 people per class). - Heart Saver CPR/AED
$55 per person (minimum of 4 people). (Prices for individuals available on request. Discounts for groups of 10 or more available) - Heart Saver CPR /AED/ First Aid
$75.00 per person (Prices for individuals available on request. Discounts for groups of 10 or more available) - Basic Life Support CPR/AED
